Rangers launch grand search operation

Karachi - 14th September 2011



Today on Wednesday the Sindh Ranger have started a large scale search operation in various areas of Karachi. The heavy contingent of Rangers encircled the various areas in the city, including Suhrab Goth, Machar Colony and started a door-to-door search operation. The operation was launched after the Rangers was tipped off that some terrorists were hiding in the area. Many terrorists of some banned outfits had been hiding in the areas where operation is being conducted.

Female Rangers personnel are also taking part in the operation. The Anti Terrorism Sqaud of the Rangers is conducting the operation and no assistance of police has been asked. This is the largest operation conducted during recent times in the city.

The success of this operation is being clearly hilighted. Many well known gangs members have been arrested and some were killed during the operation. The official say that this operation will almost clean sweep the operation area and surrounding areas.

Daniel Ambassador of France called on Gen Shameem Wynne

Today on Wednesday the newly elected President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan called on General Khalid Shameem Wynne (HI), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) at Joint Staff Headquarters, Chaklala today. The President of AJ&K remained with General Wynne for some time and discussed the matters of mutual interest. General security conditions and measures were also discussed during the meeting.


Later on Wednesday HE Mr. Daniel Jouanneau, Ambassador of France on his fare well visit also called on General Khalid Shameem Wynne (HI), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) at Joint Staff Headquarters, Chaklala. The Chairman JCSC appreciated the contributions made by the Ambassador in further strengthening the already cordial relations between the two countries.
