Today on early Saturday morning at least 25 Pakistan army troops martyred including a major and 15 injured in a NATO air strike near Pak-Afghan border. NATO helicopters from Afghanistan carried out an "unprovoked" attack on a Pakistani border post, killing at least twenty five troops.
ISAF/NATO helicopters carried out unprovoked and indiscriminate firing on a Pakistani check-post in Mohmand agency last night. Casualties have been reported. Security officials in the Mohmand tribal region near the Afghan border and a military official in Peshawar said twenty five troops including a major were killed in the pre-dawn incident.
The attack took place on the Sala check-post in the Baizai district of the rugged tribal terrain. The firing left seven soldiers and one major dead. The President of Pakistan, the COAS and the Prime Minister have called an emergency meeting at President house whereas the Chief Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has strictly condemn the attack and have closed down all NATO supplies from Pakistan.
