20th undergraduate convocation of MCS



Rawalpindi - 21st November 2011

Today on Monday the annual degree awarding ceremony of Military College of Signals was held at Rawalpindi. Rector NUST, Lieutenant General (retd) Muhammad Asghar graced the auspicious occasion as the Chief Guest. The convocation was attended by graduating students of Telecom and Software Engineering.

Chief guest while speaking on the occasion appreciated the contribution of NUST constituent institutions in advancing the august mission of providing purposeful and quality scientific education to the youth of the country with utter dedication. Appreciating the achievements of the University, he said that the farsighted vision of NUST has given a new direction to scientific education and research in the country. He paid rich tributes to the members who rendered their services to produce engineers, IT experts and managers of higher professional standard capable of meeting the challenges of modern world.

Addressing the graduates, Lieutenant General. Asghar (retd) said that it is a special and very exciting day for the graduating students as they step into the vast world of science and technology as professional engineers. From now on with a new zeal curiosity coupled with ingenuity is going to push them to the frontiers of knowledge.

The talented students who excelled in their respective disciplines were awarded medals on the occasion. President’s Gold Medals were awarded to NUST Cadet Hassan Bin Tila course TE – 44 and NUST Cadet Samia Ahmed course BESE-13 Chief of Army Staff’s Gold Medals were received by Capt Abdullah Buzdar course TE-44 and cadet Mahunm Maqsood TCC-19 and NUST Cadet Rameez Lehman BESE-13 was awarded Rector’s Gold Medals for their outstanding performance in their degree projects.
